Hi Folks! We were docked in the town of Maceio, Brazil today. And we were up extra early for our 7:45 AM excursion after staying up late to watch the Bills win. YAY! But dang we’re tired!
Our tour was a little over 3 hours and went to three different locations. Our first stop was to the Cathedral of Our Lady of Great Happiness which was built between 1850 and 1859. It was beautiful both on the outside and inside.
Our next stop was to drive up on the hill to the Belvedere (Lookout Point) of Sao Goncalo. We saw a very nice view down on to the city of Maceio and also caught a tourist pic in front of the “Maceio” sign.
Our last stop was to the Pavilhao do Artesanato (handicraft market) to do lots of shopping. Look out grandkids, you’ve got gifts coming! Lol
We came back and had a nice lunch (the fresh perch was delicious!) and relaxed, sunned and got a nice afternoon nap in! I’ll send an update after dinner tonight.
PS: Like I said, we were up late watching the football game and got a cool pic of the moon over the ocean!
