Hi Again Gang! We had another great evening of great food and great entertainment. There were actually two shows tonight and we went to both!
The first was the Regent singers doing a show called Broadway Unplugged. They sang Broadway musical classics where they put their own spin on it. It was a really great show with a lot of energy!
The second show was a comedian named Mark Palmer. He was originally from Capetown, South Africa but now lives in the UK. He was hilarious! It’s so refreshing to see comedians who just do funny, everyday humor and not do anything vulgar. Can’t wait to see his second show in a few days.
For dinner we tried a new restaurant called Sette Mari. It’s their Italian specialty restaurant that’s only available in the evening. They start you off with this huge antipasto selection with lots of yummy items. I then got seafood risotto, fish stew and a grilled fish platter with a cute baby squid on it! All the food was very good and we’ll probably try it again!
For our late night entertainment we listened to the Regent band do a Beatlemania set that was really good. We called it a night since we have an early excursion tomorrow morning. We are in Belem, Brazil tomorrow, a port neither Kathy nor I have been to. Excited to explore it. Hope everyone had a great Wednesday!
PS: But the true highlight of our evening was the certificates we got for crossing the equator. It’s official!
