Miami to Rio – Test Drive for the World Cruise – Day 6 – Sea Day – Final Pics!

Mon Jan 13, 2025

Hi  Folks! We had another fun day. Slept in, had lunch, did some sunning, saw our world cruise cabin, attended the Seven Seas Society soirée, had a nice dinner, saw a great singer doing all Queen music and watched some NFL football. Whew… we did a lot for a sea day. I’ll highlight a couple things.

We asked the woman who is staying in the cabin we’ve booked for the world cruise if we could see her cabin and she agreed. Her cabin is pretty much the same as ours so that made us feel like we could live with that room.

We attended the big Regent Seven Seas Society party that they throw each cruise for repeat passengers. They announce the numbers of the various “tiers” people have accomplished. The highest is called Commodore and you have to have sailed over 2,000 nights! But get this, this woman on our cruise (along with her husband who has recently passed away) had sailed over 4,000 nights! That’s crazy!!

We had a great dinner with some of the best Miso Glazed Sea Bass I’ve ever had. And the porcini mushroom risotto and dark chocolate mousse were pretty darn good too!

After dinner we went to the show which was this male singer named Josh Henderson who sang a tribute to Queen. Kathy and I both love Queen’s music and this guy nailed it!

After the show we watched part of the Vikings vs Rams football playoff game. When I sent this right before the half, the Rams were up 17-3.

Tomorrow we’re supposed to stop at Devil’s Island off the coast of French Guiana. But today the Captain said the winds may be too high for us to tender in. So we’ll see. Hope everyone had a great Monday.

Beautiful Day in the Caribbean!
