Hi All! Well thank you all for the prayers since we made it back safely to Charlotte with no luggage issues!
We flew Barcelona to Philly to Charlotte. We flew standby and while we didn’t get First Class or Premium Economy, we did get a whole row to ourselves so we could spread out. And our flight to Philly was early so we were able to change to the earlier flight to Charlotte so that helped. But we still traveled for almost 21 hours straight. Still worth it!
We really enjoyed this brand new ship, the Silver Ray. Wouldn’t hesitate to sail on her again. We also like the Silver Sea cruise line and have a cruise to the Baltics in April 2025 on one of their other ships, the Silver Dawn. That’s an 18 night cruise that stops in places like Rouen, France, Hamburg, Germany, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn, Estonia and Amsterdam for the tulip blossoms. Should be fun since we’ve never been to some of those ports.
Of course we’ll be cruising before then! I’m taking all my kids and grandkids on a cruise in a couple weeks (Kathy can’t go since she’s working). But Kathy and I will be on another cruise in January from Miami to Rio and another in Feb to the Caribbean. Gotta get away from the cold and go somewhere warm!
