Hi Again Folks! Well, it’s a sad day indeed as this is our last full day on the Silver Ray. But we had a nice relaxing evening with another great meal.
We had dinner at Atlantide and finished strong with some great surf and turf! We may not be getting lobster for awhile! At least until our next cruise in a couple months! The funny thing was at dinner, we had this great waiter, John, that we never had before and so wished we had him the whole cruise. But the funny part was when we were telling the waitress about him she said, “He’s my husband”! Too funny!
So I had both lobster bisque and lobster tail with filet mignon so the LPS (Lobster Protection Society) be damned! They again didn’t have any good chocolate desserts but we tried a caramel dessert at the suggestion of our waiter and while it was OK, it wasn’t chocolate!
We changed up our routine after dinner. They didn’t have an evening show so Kathy went and pulled some slots and I finished packing and watched my favorite World War II movie, “The Longest Day”. What a classic film!
We crashed early since we have to be out of our rooms by 8 AM. But our flight doesn’t leave until 1:30 PM and the airport’s only about 30 minutes away so we’ll try to be one of the last ones off the ship and leave about 10 AM.
We really enjoyed this ship so they may need to kick us off! We did hear that there were 680 passengers onboard with us and only 20 lucky folks are staying on for the next leg to Lisbon. Wish it was us! On this trip we traveled 1,657 Nautical Miles. Just a drive around the block for us. Lol.
We’re flying standby so wish us luck! We may get First Class, we may get Premium Economy but it looks like we’ll definitely get a seat. And the best part is, it’s FREE! I’ll send a final trip update Sat night or Sunday. Hope everyone had a great Friday!
