Hi Again All! We decided to try a new restaurant tonight called The Marquee. If you want, you can cook your own food on an extremely hot rock at your table but we weenied out and had the chef cook ours. Who wants all that steam and food smell on your clothes?? But they do give you a bib to cover your clothes but who wants to wear a bib?? Lol
But the food was very good. They start you off with some light appetizers and breads/crackers. We also had a fun appetizer of a Bloomin’ Onion. Remember getting those at the various steakhouses? Haven’t had one in awhile but theirs was very tasty.
I did a “surf and turf” with a ribeye and prawns (they didn’t have lobster!). The ribeye was great but the prawns didn’t taste great. Oh well, I got my turf!
I also got a fun dessert they called baked s’mores. It was sort of like a regular s’mores but instead of graham crackers they used a salty cookie (I prefer the graham cracker version!).
We were done with dinner early so we went to the Dolce Vita lounge and listened to Maria play violin. She is very good. We then went to the show which was the Silver Ray singers and dancers doing a program called Limelight. They did songs from Broadway, London’s West End and some iconic movie musicals. It was a great show!
As we always do (ya know, ain’t broke, don’t fix it!) we listened to Alfredo on piano in the Dolce Vita Lounge. We then called it a night to get ready for tomorrow.
We will be in Palermo, Sicily tomorrow so we’re excited since we’ve never been to that part of Sicily. And this voyage is finishing strong for us since including Tunisia, we’ll visit four new places we’ve never been to before. Love that!
Speaking of Tunisia, I was thinking about it all day and it really felt like a cross between Morocco and Turkey. I liked all three but if I had to rank them it would be Turkey first, Morocco second and Tunisia third. But of those I’d say my favorite city was Istanbul. What an amazing place!
