Hi All! We are docked in the medieval walled city of Valletta today. And we are here overnight so we get an extra dose of this city we love. It was so beautiful sailing in during the early morning with the sun coming up over the city. You really do feel like you’ve been transported back in time.

We’re actually doing three excursions here, one today, one tonight and one tomorrow. We can’t get enough of this cool island half way between Africa and Sicily and situated right in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. Put it on your bucket list!

Our morning tour visited three towns and included a boat ride. We first drove to the town of Senglea and did a walking tour there. We then walked to the town of Cospicua and toured it. Finally we walked thru the town of Vittoriosa. These three towns were all around a small peninsula.

We then boarded a gondola type boat called a “Dghajsa” and took a 30 min harbor cruise. Afterwards we walked to a restaurant and tasted some Maltese delicacies.

All in all it was a great tour. We saw lots of churches, forts and cool alleyways but I’ll let the pictures do the talking. Tonight we’re doing a night walk thru the city of Medina. Should be cool! Ciao for now!

Sailing into Valletta, Malta!
