Hi All! While sailing on Regent Seven Seas is the ultimate in luxury vacationing and we love doing it, nothing beats spending time with your kids and grandkids! Yep even better than unlimited lobster!
If you’ve never been to Hilton Head, you’ve got to put it on your vacation getaway list. I’d humbly say it’s the finest resort on the East Coast but don’t take my word for it. Here’s how it ranked for the last seven years!:
Hilton Head Island has been named as the best island in the United States for the seventh time in a row by popular luxury and lifestyle travel magazine Condé Nast Traveler.
So in essence, it’s like Regent for islands! And believe it or not, my family has been coming here for almost 40 years! We know a good thing when we experience it!
So it’s such a joy to bring my kids and grand kids here to carry on the legacy. This was the first visit to Hilton Head for my youngest grandson! And the island once again did not disappoint. We had perfect weather, 75-80 each day with no rain, and that’s in late October! Love this time of year here with great weather and no summer crowds!
We played at the beach, we rode bikes, we went to the huge Centennial Park they have, we went to the outdoor story time, we went to the farmer market, we swam in the pool and just enjoyed our family time together.
And it’s really like a nature preserve all over the island. When we arrived, there was an alligator, several turtles and a white egret all welcoming us in a lagoon a few feet from our beach house! The grands were excited to say hi to them each morning! (Don’t worry, the alligators aren’t aggressive and we never feed them!).
This trip only my daughter and grands were able to go (everyone else had to work!) but in December I’m taking all the kids and grands on a cruise! And in about 10 days, Kathy and I leave on another Mediterranean cruise (somebody’s gotta do it!). No rest for The Wandering Italian!
