Hi again All! Well we survived the Regent Seven Seas Society soirée. It was actually very nice with great appetizers and some good entertainment. Our cruise director Ray did his ventriloquist act with some of his puppets and he also sang music from Phantom of the Opera. He really is talented!
We then had dinner in Compass Rose with our incredible wait staff. We got to meet our waiter Arsika’s girlfriend Faith who is a waitress on the other side of Compass Rose. She was so nice and they make a cute couple.
I stayed off the lobster bandwagon but kept with my seafood fix by having my standard escargot for an appetizer and Miso Sea Bass for the main (so yummy). I’ve been trying a lot of their risottos for an extra appetizer and they are always good but tonight’s Porcini Mushroom Risotto was my favorite!
After dinner, since we were a little early, we listened to our friend Mark on the piano. Then we went to the show which was a British comedian named Martin Beaumont. I hate to say it but he just wasn’t that funny. It might have been the British humor but I’m not sure even the Brits were laughing! Lol. Oh well, they all can’t be great.
After the show we listened to Mark some more. He has gotten such a big following he fills up the Navigator Lounge and people have to spill over into the Coffee Connection area across the hall. Good for him since he deserves a big audience since he’s so good!
I forgot to mention this in my earlier post but we were docked next to the ship the comedian from our last cruise, Bengt Washburn, was on. We had kept in touch and said if possible we’d reconnect on Izmir since that was the only port both our ships intersected at. The timing didn’t work out but we plan to stay in touch and hopefully reconnect on a future cruise. That would be fun!
Hope everyone had a good hump day! Tomorrow we are back in Greece on the island of Mykonos. Neither Kathy or I have been there so it will be a new experience for us! YAY!
