Hi Again All! Believe it not we skipped dinner tonight! I think missing a meal on a cruise is one of those cardinal sins you just don’t break! But we were still so stuffed from that amazing lunch. OK, I’ll fess up, we did get a late night popcorn snack. Great way to end the cruise! (And am I now glad I got two lobster tails yesterday… must have been a premonition!)
So after getting packed and placing our suitcases out in the hall, we went down to the Atrium to listen to David the cruise director and the Regent singers do all Beatles songs. David even donned a “Beatles wig” and pretended to be Paul McCartney including the British accent. He’s hilarious!
The songs were all great and everyone sang along. Some even got into a conga line and danced around the atrium. It was a fun way to end the cruise.
Speaking of fun (NOT!!) we’re flying back from Athens, Greece tomorrow on a 9.5 hour flight. Wish us luck! At least we have tickets for this one instead of flying our normal standby. We figured summer flights would be tight and this one is actually oversold. Hmmmm… maybe if they make us an offer we can’t refuse and pay us to change flights, we’ll stay another few days?? Nope, it’s supposed to be 101 degrees tomorrow in Athens! Crazy!!
Since we’ll be traveling all day Wednesday, I’ll do a final trip update on Thursday. I added two bonus pics on this one. We caught a cool sunset tonight and included the trip summary page they sent us with the itinerary and total miles traveled, which was more than 2,500 nautical miles! Happy Hump Day tomorrow to all!
