Hi Again Gang! Regent kept the streak going by providing another night of great food and great entertainment!
For dinner, Kathy went light and only had Escargot as her one appetizer but I had two starters of Escargot and this delicious Porcini Mushroom Risotto. For our mains, Kathy got the Beef Tenderloin with a Lobster Tail while I had the Miso Glazed Sea Bass and a Lobster Tail (6 straight days of Lobster for me… the gout be damned! Lol). For dessert, Kathy got some Dulce de Leche ice cream and I got the Dark Chocolate Mousse.
After dinner we caught the show which was the singer Karl Loxley who was on a few nights ago. He had won The British version of The Voice TV show when he was picked by Sir Tom Jones. His voice is so powerful and he sang hits from Elton John, The Righteous Brothers and Les Miserable. Such great music!
After the show we followed our nightly routine of listening to the piano player in the Observation Lounge playing what they called “Evergreen” hits. Those are hits that stood the test of time. More great music!
They mentioned the breakdown of the countries of all the passengers on the ship. I couldn’t believe it but there are 40 different nationalities represented. It’s like our own United Nations! The largest group was from the US with 496 people out of the 700 guests. USA… USA… USA!
Tomorrow we go back to Italy! We work our way up the Adriatic Sea along the back of the Italian boot to the upper right hand corner of Italy to the town of Trieste. It is pretty much at the border of Italy, Croatia and Slovenia and about a 2 hour drive from Venice. We don’t arrive until 1 PM so we can sleep in! YAY! And we stay overnight in Trieste so that will be cool. Hope everyone had a great Monday. Ciao for Now!
PS: Another reason I LOVE Regent… if you remember from Day 1, my large suitcase had the zipper ripped off in transit and I had to tape it shut just to get it to the hotel and ship. Well the fine folks at Regent fixed it for me for FREE! Now that’s great customer service!!
