Hi Again Gang! We ended this incredible day with an incredible dinner. We went to our first specialty restaurant on this ship (there are 3) called Prime 7. It’s a traditional steak house and all the steaks are Black Angus and are aged for 40 days to give them an incredible flavor (notice how much I’ve said incredible!). And they gave us a sweet window table at the rear of the ship so we got a great sunset pic sailing away from Taormina!
For dinner, Kathy got the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail and Vidalia Onion Soup for her starters. I got the Crab Cake along with the Pork Belly with Scallop. Oh I forgot, they always start with an appetizer called an Amuse-Bouche, which is a French term that literally means “Mouth Amuser”. It was a Smoked Tomato soup and was very yummy.
For our mains we both got similar to last night and each other but slightly different. Kathy got the surf and turf which was Filet Mignon and a Lobster Tail. I did my own version of surf and turf by getting the Whole Maine Lobster and the Ribeye Steak. My lobster and steak were even better than last night which is hard to do!
For dessert (not sure how we fit it in!) Kathy got the Red Velvet Cheesecake and I got the 14 layer (yes 14 layers!) Chocolate Mousse Cake.
After dinner we went to the show which was this amazing singer who was on the UK version of The Voice named Karl Loxely. He sang a wide range of songs from Broadway tunes, to Classical, to even Pavarotti. Such a powerful voice!
After the show we headed to the Observation Lounge where they were doing Name That Tune with the piano player. We decided just to listen and not play but should have since we knew a lot of them!
We packed it in early since we have an early excursion tomorrow. Hope everyone had a great Friday!
