Voyage of the Vikings – Day 15 – At Sea – Final Pics!

Thurs July 11, 2024

Hi Again All! Tonight was Orange night! The Holland America cruise line’s Dutch heritage celebrates the Netherland’s national holiday of King’s Day where everyone wears orange. We did our best to dress with a flair of orange to go with the flow!

We had another nice dinner. For starters we both had the Bay Shrimp Cocktail and Kathy added her traditional FOS while I had the green pea soup. For our mains, Kathy had the Veal Cordon Blue and I had the Dover Sole. For dessert, we both had the Bosche Bol (chocolate cream puff).

After dinner we went to the show which was Kenny Martyn playing clarinet who had played a few nights ago. He plays the Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington Swing Jazz/Big Band style of music. He was really good once again.

After the show we listened to the piano player and Kathy pulled some slots. We set our clocks back again tonight but get this… we only set them back 30 minutes since St John, Newfoundland, which is our port stop on Saturday, does this weird 30 minute time difference. You gotta love it! Hope everybody had a great Thursday!

PS: Tonight’s bonus pic is the cool sunset we saw!
