Hi All! Today was a relaxing sea day but we also got a lot of activities in. Well in the late morning/early afternoon I should say! The early morning was for sleeping in! Then, since we’re heading towards Canada, they had a program on sports in Canada. Of course everyone knows about ice hockey as pretty much their national sport but they are also into Lacrosse, Disc Golf and a sport called Road Ball. Never heard of it but you throw a ball down the road and try to get it as far as you can. Sounds kind of weird!
We then went for an early lunch and afterwards played trivia. The topic was animals and we were doing so bad we just quit and listened to the questions. See if you know this one. What is the closest living relative to the T-Rex? I can’t believe the correct answer is the Chicken!
We also stopped by to see all the towel animals they put out around the indoor pool. They called it the Zuiderdam Animal Zoo. They had some really creative ones!
After that, and keeping with the ice hockey theme, they showed the movie “Miracle” about the USA Men’s Hockey Team beating the Russians at the 1980 Winter Olympics at Lake Placid. They were huge underdogs but thru hard work and determination they won! Such a great feel good movie.
