Canary Islands, Morocco and Northern Europe cruise on Seabourn Ovation – Day 12 – Tangier, Morocco – Part 1!

Mon May 6, 2024

Hi Folks! We made it to Tangier, Morocco. Kathy has never been here but I came about 8 years ago as a day trip via a ferry from Tarifa, Spain. When I came, I had a tour guide I found thru Rick Steves. When I was planning this trip, I used the same tour company. While it wasn’t the same tour guide he knew my guide from eight years ago. Small world!

We did an all day private tour with just us, our tour guide and our driver going all over Tangier in a nice Mercedes Benz (LAH-TEE-DA)! We had a really fun day… we went to the Kasbah (fortress/citadel), the Medina (old walled portion of the city), the Souk (market), Hercules Cave, the King of Morocco’s summer palace and rode a camel. Whew, that was a full day!

I’ll let the pictures do the talking for now. I’ll send an update later tonight after dinner. Hope everyone’s Monday started off well!
