Canary Islands, Morocco and Northern Europe cruise on Seabourn Ovation – Day 9 – Puerto Rosario, Fuerteventura – Part 1!

Fri May 3, 2024

Hi Gang! We made it to our fifth and final Canary Island! I guess we’ll have to go on another cruise to see the last two! Today we are docked in the town of Puerto Rosario on the island of Fuerteventura. This island is the oldest of the Canaries and sits closest to Africa. It is estimated to be over 20 million years old! Also this whole cluster of islands near Africa and Europe is called Macaronesia and includes the Azores (Portugal), Madeira (Portugal), Canary Islands (Spain) and Cape Verde Islands (Africa).

Today we took another all day tour across the island. This is the Canary Island with the most sand beaches but it also had lots of volcanoes and rocky soil like all the others. This one also had a few cute little towns that we stopped at so we sorta like this one the best of all the Canaries.

But we may like it best since we got lots of good luck and now look 10 years younger! We stopped at an Aloe Vera factory and they gave us lots of samples to rub on our skin to make us looks years younger. So if you look really really really close at our pictures, you see we look lots younger! Lol

And there was a statue of two  warriors we stopped at and legend has it that if you rub their butts, you get lots of good luck. So of course we did it! But Kathy was busy rubbing away and said she hadn’t felt a butt that tight in a long time. Hey, wait a minute!!! Lol.

That’s all for now. I’ll do another update tonight after dinner. TGIF!
