Hi Gang! In my last blog entry back in mid Feb after our Antarctica trip, I mentioned I was taking some time off for my new grandson. Well that new “Little” Wandering Italian came to us a few weeks ago and he is perfect in every way!
His name is Alden Wilder and he was a big boy… 9 lbs 1 oz and almost 24 inches long! Kathy and I had fun watching his two brothers (Kye and CJ) for three days while mom and dad were in the hospital. And I’ve been helping out taking the two big boys to school on Tues and Thurs (and the occasional stop at Wendy’s after school for lunch… ya gotta try the new Orange Dreamsicle Frosty, it’s delish!).
Living close by them, I’ve also been able to spend lots of time holding little Alden. He’s so sweet and cuddly! Can’t get enough of that boy! And it’s also been fun having the big boys over at Pap Pap’s house (that’s me!) for a sleepover to help mom and dad out.
While Antarctica and all these other places around the world are amazing, nothing is more precious than spending time with grandchildren. I am truly blessed on all fronts!
Well that’s all for now. Just a quick update to share my family story and show off my grandkids. God help you if I see you in person and take my phone out to show you all the pictures! But here are a few in the meantime.
Of course the Wandering Italian has another trip planned in a few weeks so watch for that. Hope all is well!
