Hi Gang! Well we completed our visit to the last of the “ABC Islands” when we docked in Bonaire, specifically at the Capitol of Kralendijk. Kathy and I are debating which of the three islands we like the best. My idea was that next year, to escape the cold, we hang out on each one for a month each from Jan-March. Case closed! Lol.
We had so much fun today! We rented a golf cart and drove around the whole island. We saw so much and like yesterday, I’m going to let the amazing pictures do the talking. But for a quick summary we saw a Donkey Sanctuary (with a 10 week old cute donkey!), flamingos, turtles, iguanas, kite boarders, wind surfers, crashing waves, a cactus fence, a light house, salt mines, slave huts (very sad), a beach bar, amazing beaches and lots and lots of crystal clear blue waters with all shades of blue!
For the evening we went to dinner at our favorite restaurant, the Pan-Asian one named Sakura. And yes I got the lobster Pad Thai again. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it! So yummy!!
After dinner we did our routine of the show, the slots and some beautiful piano music. Tomorrow is a sea day so lots of relaxation is in the cards. Hope everyone is keeping warm wherever you are!
PS: Two other cool things about this ship:
- The bathroom floor tiles are heated! Nice touch when your feet hit them in the morning!
- Every time we leave a port they play Andrea Bocelli’s “Time to Say Goodbye” song, I guess due to the ship owner’s Italian heritage. Very classy!
