Hi Folks! Happy New Year! Hope everyone had an amazing Christmas and is ready for a great 2024! What better way to start the new year off than trying out another luxury cruise line (somebody’s gotta do it!). Yep, the Wandering Italian and his co-pilot Kathy are cruising the high seas once again but this time on a brand new cruise line, a brand new cruise ship and brand new ports of call for us.
We left today for a 14 night Caribbean cruise on the Explora 1 cruise ship from Explora Journeys cruise line. This cruise line just started this past Fall and the ship is brand new as well. It has gotten rave reviews from the people who have sailed it. I love their mantra… “Transforming luxury cruises into ocean journeys which inspire you to travel further, immerse deeper and linger longer”… yep, that’s us!
We’ll be going to cool ports like Cartagena (overnight) and Santa Marta in Colombia, Colon in Panama, the ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao), Saint Pierre in Martinique and ending in Barbados.
I just wanted to post a quick update to see how the wifi works. The ship is so beautiful. It’s not really laid out like your traditional cruise ship but more like a luxury hotel like the Ritz Carleton or Four Seasons (not that I’d know though! Lol).
