Hi all! Today was a sea day and I always say you can either seize the day or Zzzzzz’s the day… we chose the latter! Lol.
Yes, we slept in late, skipped breakfast and just had an all around leisurely day. Went to a cooking demonstration on preparing fresh sea bass which was interesting, played trivia and did terrible and went to a future cruise talk about cruises to South Africa and the South Pacific (both on our bucket list!).
Tonight was formal night and the people on this cruise line definitely dress up more than others. So we got all gussied up and strutted our stuff down the runway!
For dinner we went to the Italian themed restaurant named La Terrazza. It was amazing! They start everyone off with this huge antipasto dish. Heck, that could be dinner enough! But heck no, we’re on a cruise so we strapped the feed bag on and went to town. Tried the Tuscan soup, the octopus salad, the homemade pasta, the Osso bucco and the beef tenderloin. Topped it all off with tiramisu and chocolate cake. Whew, still full writing about it! All the food was really good!
We then staggered our way down to the evening show which was called “Limelight” which covered musicals from both New York’s Broadway and London’s West End. The music was really good and they sang songs we all knew from shows like Jersey Boys, Wicked, Lion King, Grease and ABBA. Good stuff!
After the show we listened to a little piano, pulled a few slots and went to bed early since we’re setting the clocks ahead an hour. Tomorrow’s another sea day so we’ll probably get lots of sleep again! Zzzzzzzzz!
PS: Being out in the middle of the Atlantic on our way to San Juan, the WiFi’s been a little spotty, so I’ll post this write up now and try to post some pictures later!
