Hi Folks! Well the word of the day was R-E-L-A-X! We enjoyed having a sea day since we’ve been running hard since day one with excursions every day and not to mention us flying over the day of the cruise (crazy/risky I know!). So we spent today finally catching up on our sleep.
The only day they do a formal sit down lunch in the main dining room is on sea days and this is the only one we’ll have on this cruise. So we decided to try it and it was really nice. The food was better than at the buffet restaurant and it’s nice getting waited on. We spent almost two hours having a leisurely lunch. So peaceful!
After lunch we just chilled and really did nothing. Watched the tail end of the classic Hitchcock movie The Birds. It’s probably been 30 years since I watched that movie and forgot how gory it was. Crazy!
Had a really nice dinner and was planning to go see the show of the Oceania Production Cast sing the Songs of Broadway. But the seas started getting really rough and there were probably 5-10 foot waves so they cancelled the show due to some of the singers getting seasick! Of course being sailors of many cruises, it didn’t faze Kathy or I. They replaced the Broadway show with the comedian from the other night. He was really funny and we enjoyed that.
After the show we listened to the house band play some Latin music and called it an early night. This relaxing all day is tiring! Lol.
Tomorrow we go to Greece to a coastal village called Igoumenitsa which is right across from the island of Corfu. We get in at 7 AM and have an early morning excursion. Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
PS: No pictures today since the wifi is really slow but I’ll try to send some tomorrow while in port!
