Hi all! So I had a restful night at my AirBnB and my host was nice enough to drive me back to the airport! Gotta love the friendly people of Alaska! I boarded my bus around 12:30 to take me on a scenic tour and drop me at the cruise port.
The scenery along the way was beautiful but the highlight was stopping at the Wildlife Refuge Center. They had moose, elk, wolves, reindeer and lots and lots of bears! And lots of animals I had no idea what they were!
We then got to the ship and the embarkation was a breeze. The bus people took all our luggage and we just walked in. It only took about 10 mins to get on the ship and our cabins were already ready. So I went and checked it out. So this trip I went low budget (got to save up for the Antarctica Expedition trip!) and got an inside cabin, no internet package, no specialty dining package, no drink package… in essence the exact opposite of what I had with my last few cruises! But it was not bad at all. You wouldn’t believe how well you sleep when there is not a bit of light coming into your room! Lol
The rest of the evening I just explored the ship, watched a cool movie called “We Are Alaska”, played trivia, had a nice dinner and similar to my other Holland America cruises, finished my evening listening to the dueling piano players play fun, sing along music!
PS: I forgot to mention in my first post that I’d be offline for a couple days due to no internet package. So that’s why you got a couple updates bundled together once we got to Skagway!
