Hi Gang! Did I say how much I love sea days? It’s a nice lazy day to catch up on sleep, lounge around the pool, take a nap… wait, it sounds like retirement! Lol. I gotta get my practice in since it’s coming up soon!
The other thing I like about it is having breakfast in the main dining room which is so classy. And the food is prepared to order versus at the buffet. I had two tasty items that were cooked to perfection, one a traditional breakfast item and the other a rather unique one. The first was eggs Benedict which was really good but the other was outstanding which was these little baby lamb chops from New Zealand that just melted in your mouth!
After breakfast we lounged in the sun and tried to keep our Bermuda tans to go with our Bermuda shorts! Lol. I have to say the pool lounge chairs on Regent are the softest and most comfortable we’ve ever sat in. You could easily sleep in those things (and we did!).
We went to the afternoon tea and they had a huge display of DONUTS! Dang they make it hard to not put on lots of pounds! (The diet starts when we get off the ship!)
Afterwards we went to the early show which was the Captain’s Farewell along with a show put on by the crew which was really cute and funny (they called it the “Krew Kapers”). After that we had another great dinner in the Compass Rose.
They didn’t do a late show but had an ABBA Dance Party. The music was good but you don’t want to see me dancing to ABBA! After that, they had a 70’s Dance Party with our Cruise Director Dru as the DJ (he was a DJ in a previous life!). After that we did some slots and piano music.
Tomorrow we sail in to New York harbor and I hope we get close to the Statue of Liberty so I can get some pics! But they said it’s going to be rainy so not sure how they’ll turn out. Hope everyone had a great Hump Day!
