Canada – Bermuda – NYC – Cruise – Day 10 – Hamilton, Bermuda – Pics Part 1!

Monday June 19, 2023

Hi Folks! We made it to Hamilton, the Capitol of the island of Bermuda. We didn’t dock until 2 PM and our excursion left at 2:15. So we had a leisurely morning sleeping in and having a relaxing lunch (yes, we skipped breakfast two days in a row!).

The excursion was really good. We had a great tour guide who drove us all around the island for 4 hours. It is such a beautiful island! We saw some amazing homes, some beautiful beaches and even a very tall lighthouse that had an awesome view of the island. When Queen Elizabeth visited Bermuda for the first time, she went to the same lookout point we were at and they erected a plaque called “The Queen’s View”!

We got back late from the excursion so we ordered room service and had dinner in our room. That was very convenient! And we were able to order all the good food from the Main Dining  Room.

After dinner we caught the show which was a very interesting woman who played the flute. She played all different kinds of flutes and has won a Grammy and played with Placido Domingo. But even more unique is she was born with no hip sockets and was in a full body cast as a young girl and told she would never walk. She was born in Santiago, Chile but came to a doctor at Stanford University that performed 11 operations on her and she eventually learned to walk again. Such an amazing story!

That’s all for now. We leave Hamilton at 5 AM on Tuesday and just go around the island to St George’s. Hope everyone had a great day!
