Hi guys! Embarkation on to the ship was a breeze. We got to the port around 11:30 AM and were sitting down having lunch by Noon. The lunch buffet was very impressive with lots of tasty options (I tried a lot of them!). The pool bar also had some good looking burgers and bratwurst (for another day!). And the ice cream and milkshake bar are decadent!
The ship is very nice and the smallest we’ve ever been on (we love small!) with only 490 passengers. So it didn’t take us long to do the grand tour! We get free wifi so I’m hoping I can post pics on the blog but we’ll see how great the wifi is.
After our tour we went to the room and got unpacked. The room is really nice but Seabourn beats it since it had two sinks (I told you they spoiled us!)
We had a nice dinner at the Compass Rose which is their main dining room. It has a very upscale feel to it with the beautiful Versace place setting. The service was very good and the food was excellent. I was amazed that they offer Lobster and Filet Mignon any night you want it! So of course I got some lobster tonight! That beats Seabourn! And the dark chocolate mousse was to die for and they brought me extra whipped cream!
After dinner we went to listen to the piano player, who was really good and then to the main show which was also very good. For such a small ship they had a large cast of singers and dancers and all often were pretty impressive!
We ended the night with Kathy trying her hand at the slot machines and then us listening to the piano guy to end the evening.
Tomorrow, on to Quebec!
