Hi folks! I really can’t believe our trip is over (and that it lasted 30 days and Kathy is still talking to me)!! It was an incredible trip, one of the best I’ve ever taken. It was so diverse in its various locations, climates and beauty. Most vacations you go to one or two places or countries but this felt like a half way around the world trip!
It was so cool to have one trip that included the amazing scenery and remoteness of Antarctica, the beauty of the Chilean Fjords, the powerful waterfalls at Iguazu, the various penguin breeds at various locations, especially the King Penguins on the Falkland Islands, the Latin Pulse and great food of a city like Buenos Aires, the beach resort feel of Punta del Este, the laid back culture of Montevideo, the architecture of a city like Santiago, the historical sites named after the great explorers like Ferdinand Magellan, Sir Francis Drake, and Sir Ernest Shackleton, the crossing of the infamous Drake Passage, which are the roughest seas in the world, and last but not least, being chauffeured around on a beautiful cruise ship for 22 days and being waited on hand and foot. Are we blessed or what?!
I’ll leave you with a sample of cute pictures of the towel animals our room steward made for us each night. His name was Agus and he was great. See if you can tell what each animal is? The last one was not done by Agus and was out in the pool area. That’s the wildest one!
I hope you all enjoyed traveling along with us. Until our next trip, stay safe and keep in touch!
