Hi all! I decided to make today “backwards day”. Since we had good internet being in a major port city (no more out in the middle of nowhere!) I decided to post the pictures first since they can take long to upload and post the verbiage later.
So since you saw the pictures already I won’t need to add a lot of verbiage since the pictures speak for themselves! We had another great day with a great tour guide supplied by Diego. His name was Herbert and he was a native of Montevideo and very proud of his city. He took us all over the city to the major sites including the old city, the new city, beautiful neighborhoods, parks and even to the soccer stadium (where the first World Cup was played). It is truly a beautiful city!
After our tour we relaxed, got cleaned up, went to dinner and then caught the show. It was a Tango Dancing show and was so good. If you haven’t ever watched Tango, look it up on YouTube. It is VERY sensual and passionate. After the show we listened to our piano players and called it a night.
Technically this is the last day of the cruise since tomorrow we dock in Buenos Aires and the boat stays there for two days. But luckily our vacation isn’t over since we’re adding a 3 day side trip to Iguazu Falls which is the third largest waterfall in the world after Angel Falls in Venezuela and Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. It’s even bigger than Niagara!
But since we have to take a small plane to Iguazu we have to store our large suitcases in Buenos Aires. Since we each have two large suitcases we decided to take two off tomorrow and the other two off on Thursday. But we’ll have to go thru customs both days to get our luggage off. Oh well, it will be worth it!
We’re excited for our all day tour of Buenos Aires tomorrow. Hope everyone had a great day!
