Hi gang! We made it to Seattle. Almost to The Last Frontier! Well all your prayers really helped since our standby flights worked out perfectly. Poor Jenny had to wake up super early to get to Charlotte from Pittsburgh but then we all got to fly together to Seattle.
We couldn’t all sit together but Danny and Jenny got to sit together in the exit row with extra leg room (better than us!) and Kathy and I sat together as well. We got to the airport, called our hotel and their shuttle came to pick us up. We got settled into the hotel, took a short nap and walked to a local restaurant for some lunch (though with the 3 hour difference it felt like dinner!).
Then we walked to the grocery store to buy some water and sodas to take on the ship. Do you think I’m paying those high prices for the drink package? Not! Lol.
We hung out in the evening at the hotel and made our plans for what shows we want to go to on the cruise. There are so many and this ship is so big you have to reserve your seats… crazy!
We are all so excited to get on the ship and start cruising! The bus to take us to the pier picks us up at 10 AM and we’re supposed to be able to get on the ship at 11. The weather here is gorgeous! Sunny and 75. Same for tomorrow!
I included a couple pics from our travels. I loved the one that Jen took looking out of the plane at zero dark thirty! Cool light at the tip of the wing. We got to see an amazing shot of Mt Rainier on our approach to Seattle! And all the “Dem’s” (DeMaria’s) on the standby seat board. Lol.
We’ll that’s all for now. I’ll do an entry for tomorrow when we get on the ship. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
