Barbados – Day Four – Saturday 2/22/20

Well we loved being out on the water so much on Thursday, we decided to do it again today. When we were with our crazy tour guide Ted yesterday, he mentioned “he knew a guy” that did really good catamaran cruises. So we took him up on it, booked it and had a fantastic time!

It ended up being an all day cruise on the water. They picked us up at our hotel at 9 AM and dropped us off late in the afternoon. It was a nice sized boat but there were only about 12 people on board so again it felt like a private tour. And I think we were the only Americans! There were people from England, Germany and even Slovakia. But they were all really cool and we had fun having great conversations with all of them.

We went to two different snorkel sites and stopped once for a free swim near a beautiful beach. The first spot was where we could swim with the turtles and there were several of them. The next stop was over two different sunken ships which had tons of fish at. I wish I had my underwater camera!!

They served food throughout the day with fresh fruit, rum cakes and a delicious buffet. Of course there were unlimited alcohol and soft drinks the whole time but we took it easy on the alcohol given that we started at 9 AM. But that didn’t stop those wild Europeans from getting a little crazy!

We got home and just chilled by the pool and caught a glorious sunset. Life really is tough in paradise! Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
