Barbados – Day 3 – Friday 2/21/20

Well guys to be honest, it was just another day in paradise! I think I can get used to sunny and mid-80’s with a light breeze and the ocean surrounding you all year round!

Today we did an all day tour around the island with Ted’s Tours. Ted is this 55 year old hippie dude that has lived his whole life on the island and knows it like the back of his hand. He was not only informative but told the funniest jokes. We had this huge air conditioned bus with these large windows that could probably hold 50 people and there were only about 15 of us in there. So it was really like a private tour. He picked us up at our hotel at 10 AM and dropped us off at 5 PM.

We literally drove all over the island stopping at cool places, beautiful beaches and amazing look out points. And of course we snuck an old church into the mix too! After we got back we had a nice dinner of fresh caught Mahi-mahi. Yum yum!

After dinner we had a wild adventure over to the little town of Oistens. Every Friday night they have this world famous “fish fry” but we didn’t go for the fish. We went for the reggae music, people watching, and the guy eating fire (check out the pic!). The ride down and back was an experience in itself. We took the “local bus” and on the way down we were packed in like sardines and the guy was driving like crazy. Thank goodness we stopped at that church during the day because the prayers helped!

All in all it was a great day and we’re ready to do it again tomorrow. TGIF to all!!
