Well we had wall to wall sunshine today and highs in the mid-80’s. Rumor has it that my friends back in Charlotte were getting a little of the white precipitation. We timed our getaway perfectly! Lol
We started the day off with a nice breakfast and a walk along the beach. Then came back and sat by the pool and soaked in the sun. I included a few pics from both our balcony and down by the beach. Just beautiful!
After a light lunch, we waited for our tour guide bus to pick us up and take us to our excursion for the day. We had scheduled an afternoon snorkel/sunset cruise on a catamaran. By 3:30 PM, we were sails up and cruising along the coastline. It was this huge catamaran/sailboat but there were only about 25 people on the boat so we had lots of room to roam.
After sailing for about 30 minutes, we stopped to snorkel with the sea turtles. They were gorgeous creatures and just floated thru the crystal clear water. The guide was feeding them so we got to actually touch one. Very cool.
After pulling up anchor, we stopped at the next stop to snorkel over a sunken ship but we chose to sit that one out and just relax in the sun. They then served a nice dinner of chicken and fish and lots of sides including dessert. And also all you could drink alcohol but we went easy on that!
We then got to catch a beautiful sunset before heading back in to harbor. All in all it was another beautiful day in paradise. It’s only day 2 but we love Barbados! Hope no one had to shovel too much snow! (OK, sorry, I was rubbing it in!) Lol
