Wednesday 9/11/19 – Today is my last full day in Portugal. I’ll post one final entry tomorrow after I get home. I took the bus from Lagos back to Lisbon and it was a breeze. Since I had seen everything I had wanted to see in Lisbon, I decided I’d use the late afternoon to get all my laundry done so I could come home with clean clothes. Let me tell you, some of the best people watching is at the laundromat!
Well with today being the 18th anniversary of 9/11, I thought I’d share some pictures of the inside of all these beautiful Portugal churches. I pray for all the victims and their families that are still suffering after that terrible terrorist attack many years ago and hope that something like that never happens again.
I know our country is very torn along political lines but I hope we don’t have to suffer another major attack to unify the country like it was after 9/11. And even though I enjoy traveling to all these beautiful countries, after every trip, it always reinforces to me that we live in the greatest country in the entire world, bar none.
