Hi all! It’s been awhile since this Wandering Italian has been trekking across the world. I took a brief hiatus and now I leave Sunday 4/28/19 for a month in Southern France/Northern Spain. I’m so excited since I’ve never been to any of these towns and most are small villages, which I love.
My rough itinerary is that I fly into Paris, then head straight for the Alsace region to the town of Colmar. Then to the Burgundy region in Beaune. Heading further south I hit the French Alps region in Annecy. Then down to the French Riviera to Nice/Monte Carlo. I head across southern France to the Provence region in both Arles and Carcassonne. Then head to the Basque region of Southern France/Northern Spain staying in both St-Jean-De-Luz on the French side and San Sebastian on the Spain side with day trips to Bilbao and Pamplona (but I won’t be running with the bulls!). I then head to Madrid to fly home. I’ve attached a picture of the itinerary. I’ll be covering a lot of ground and doing it all via public transportation (you know, trying to lower my carbon footprint!).
I hope you enjoy this trip as much as I know I will. See you when I get back!
