Yangshou Day 3

Well, if there's a Buddha somewhere to be found in a town, I'll find it, even f
I have to walk a mile underground to find it, and that's how I started my day
today! This town has a huge underground cave system so we went and exlored them
today. Very cool. Then, since this was pretty much my last full day being a
tourist, I decided I needed to get one last hike in so i hiked up to Moon Hill,
which is this donut type hole in one of the karst mountains. Very tough climb
and very steep but the view from the top was really nice. Funny thing was, as
your climbing up, there's all these old Chinese women carrying coolers on their
backs trying to sell you drinks and walking along side of you. Well, i'm huffing
and puffing away, and she ain't even breaking a sweat! Unreal! Then we visited
the old town of Longtan Village which really didn't have a lot but we stopped
into this 90 year old woman's house and Amy talked to her and she told us all
about the village. Very cool.

Then we went to see the Cormorant fishermen which is these fisherman on bamboo
raft who go out at night with these Cormorant birds that have collars around
their necks preventing them from swallowing any fish. They swim along under the
water, catch the fish and then drop them on the boat. Afterwards, the fisherman
loosens their collar and let's them eat a few fish. Really neat to watch.

Then Amy invited me to go out with her and her girlfriends for K-TV which in
essence is a karaoke bar but here you rent a private room just for you and your
friends and you control the music and everyone dances and sings. Very fun. Me
and 6 Asian women singing along to Chinese music, what a hoot.

Well tomorrow is another travel day for me. I fly to Beijing, just to spend one
night and then fly back home on Monday. Can't believe 30 days have flown by.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.
