Waimea Canyon

Wow you people are addicted... I take one day off from my blog and 3 of you send
me nasty grams, 4 of you call 911 in Hawaii to put a search out for me and
several of you asked for your subscription money back and this thing is free!!
Geez!! LOL. Just kidding!! But I bet you were all proud of me for actually
taking it a little easier yesterday and actually chilling out and not blogging.

Well, today it's back to reality (at least my reality of globe trotting!). So I
went over to the Waimea Canyon to see more of it and do some hiking. If you
remember, that was the one they called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific and I
sent a picture the first day. Well this time I went further up to the top of the
canyon where the views are toward the ocean and did some hiking. Wow was it
beautiful! Once again the picture I included does not do it justice but it was
truly breathtaking. Along the way I stopped and got some fresh fruit and came
across this really cool one called a Rambotan. The tasted like grapes but they
had this really cool prickly looking outer skin on them that you had to peel off
(see pic). Also had some fresh papaya... Yummm!

Along the way, in the little town of Waimea, I saw this cute little church and
it was in such a great setting it just begged for a picture (and I was actually
trying to balance the Buddha pictures with some Christian pictures!).

Hope everyone's week is starting out great!
