Well I decided to slow it down a bit today on the tourist front... actually my feet and legs were screaming "No Mas, No Mas"... so I just decided to visit the Temple of Heaven. I know a lot of you that know me well are saying... he's never been in that many houses of worship in the last year let alone the last week! That's probably why you're hearing all that thunder and lightning in the sky! This place was really cool though. Once again, really spread out and sort of like a park with lots of cool buildings and gardens. After that I checked out the "lowering of the flag" at Tianaman Square. I couldn't get close enough to take pictures (I think they were keeping all the Westerners away and I sure as heck wasn't going to walk in front of those big tanks like a student protester!). It was wild though, all of a sudden, they shut down the 8 lane road that is always jammed with tons of traffic and everything goes silent and out from the Forbidden City marches about 100 Chinese Army guys with their guns raised and marching in unison. Of course I'm like the only Westerner within miles and I'm thinking they're coming after me (especially after that 3 stooges comment I made yesterday which i'm sure they're still reviewing over at the palace!) Again just a very cool thing to observe. Well that's all for now. I apologize if I'm jamming up some of your email accounts with the large picture file sizes. My good friend from work Scott (what's his last name again... geez it's been awhile since I've been there I forget all that stuff!) Shared a picture sizer program with me but since I'm using my new tablet I can't seem to get it to work. I'll try to find an app for it though and try to make the pictures smaller. Take care. Jeff
