Today's adventure brought two sayings to mind... "Pictures just don't do it justice" and "It's all about the journey not the destination". While I've included some pictures, there's no way that it captured just how beautiful that drive is. For those of you that have done it, you know what I mean. Around every turn was an even more amazing sight than the prior. Your neck was turning back and forth to try to look at both sides of the highway at the same time. I just about wrecked 3 times between all of the hair pin turns and the one lane bridges... combine that with the scenery and I'm surprised there's not more crashes! And I tried my best to take my time (pretty much 7 AM to 7 PM) and truly enjoy the journey. I stopped pretty much at every pullover, trail, waterfall, side road leading to incredible beaches and lookouts and just enjoyed the moment. I won't bore you with a lot of words and just let the pictures tell the story, though as I said, they don't do it justice. That just means you all have to put this on your bucket list! (Of course, I will gladly be any of your tour guides if you need one since I'm definitely coming back!) So the pictures show a really cool cave that had a black sand beach (I had never seen black sand before), the 3 bears waterfall, an action shot of a blowhole erupting and spraying water on me and last but not least, a palm tree that I rested under and thought about all of you!! Hope everyone is having a good week! Jeff PS: Belated Happy Groundhog's Day! I could use 6 more weeks of this kind of "winter"!
