WOW! That's all I can say is WOW. Boys and girls, add this one to your bucket list. It was so surreal to watch this molten lava move ever so slowly closer and closer to us. And like everything else in Hawaii, even the volcano eruptions are laid back! I won't bore you with a lot of verbiage about it, I'll just let the pictures tell the story. But as always, even the pictures can't do it justice. Not being there, you can't see my arm hair and eye brows being burned off because yep, that's my shoe just inches away from lava that's over 1500 degrees! Ouch! The hike out and back was not too bad. And I stand corrected about the weather. Today was actually warm and sunny and we didn't get any rain on our entire trip to the lava and back. Well, tomorrow's my last day but my flight's not until 11 PM, so I'm sure I'll find something fun to do for the day. Happy over the hump day! Jeff
