Well, I guess they say all good things must come to an end (who said that anyway?) and while I do hate that this journey is ending, I'm excited to come back home and see everyone. This is the longest time I've traveled continuously and have never traveled this long on my own, but I think it's good to do things outside of your comfort zone and the initial part of this was a little wild trying to navigate the country on my own, but I would tell you that it's really easy once you get the hang of it. I hope many of you will add China to your travel bucket list (seriously, I'm not getting a kick back from the People's Republic!) and if you ever have questions about wanting to go there, just let me know. I am now their official Travel Spokesperson for the USA! LOL. First and foremost though, I really want to thank all of you that read my emails and responded back to me. It really helped me stay "connected" and I enjoyed sharing my travel stories with all of you. I hope you enjoyed them as well. I'm not sure where my next travels will take me. I originally had planned to go to Machu Picchu in Peru in early December but after some research found out it's the start of their rainy season so I've put that on hold for now. I'll definitely be hanging out at home with friends and family thru at least the end of November and then we'll see where my path leads. If I start up another trip, I will most likely do another email travelogue so if you'd rather not be on my next adventure with me (and seriously, I will not be offended) just let me know and I'll drop you from the cast of thousands (it will only cost you $9.99!). So let me leave you with this little poem/song that I found on the wall at my hostel in Lijiang. I guess we each can take away the meaning of it and how it relates to our lives but I guess I'd just say whenever you get the chance, slow down a bit, don't be afraid to do things outside of your comfort zone, try to see the world from a different perspective and most of all... TRAVEL YOUR ASSES OFF!!!!! LOL. Until we meet again... I hope you all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving season. Thanks again. Jeff
