Hi all. I spent my last day in Munich hanging out with my two new best friends Peter and Waltraut. And wile they’re around 80 years old, they love to hike and are in great shape. So we took this 6 mile hike around this cute little lake, up this pretty steep hill and across this peaceful valley. When we came to the spot at the top of the hill looking down into the valley there were several people there flying model airplane gliders. See if you can spot the plane in one of the attached pics.
We then went back to their place where they roasted a duck (pic) and made potato dumplings and sauerkraut. They even stuffed the duck with apples. It was all so yummy.
Their daughter Katrin, who is a lawyer in Munich, came for dinner. She’s a world traveler too so we all sat around eating good food and talking travel. It doesn’t get any better than that! Lol
I leave tomorrow for Fussen. It’s a pretty small town and is on the edge of the Alps and I’ve heard there should be some good options for hiking. Hope everyone stays safe thru the storm!
